The Jacksonville Polo Crew is going out of town to Ft.Myers tomorrow for the All Florida tournament. Regularly scheduled polo will not be held this Sunday due to the tournament, but we will resume next Sunday at 3pm. Good luck everyone!!!

Jax/Savannah polo mixer was great success!

Anyone that missed out on our Jax/Savannah mixer missed out. We had 3 ques going... about 30 people, a keg, cupcakes, fried chicken, and polo all day long. The day ended at Shanty, a bunch of cool kids grilling veggie burgers and chilling around a bonfire. Fun fun fun. In fact it was so much fun, we're making it a monthly thing. First Sunday trade offs, Jacksonville will be heading up to Savannah on January 2nd.






Jacksonville will be heading down to Ft. Myers this weekend for the All Florida Bike Polo Championships. Wish us luck (not that we need it or anything). Bwahaha.

SPECIAL EDITION JAX/SAVANNAH POLO AT ZOMBIE SUNDAY!

Hey there polo kiddos, Savannah is coming down to play with us SUNDAY so make sure you make it out to show them some love! We'll be playing 1:00 p.m. at Zombie Bikes (1st and main) to get in as much polo as daylight lets us. After party TBA.

Also, The All Florida Bike Polo championship is coming up next weekend if anyone wants to go! There's always people looking for teams and it's the best way to get into polo. We'll be leaving Thursday morning (12/9) and coming back Sunday night(12/12). If you're interested in going, you can call me at (904) 708 0837.

  Frederick Joseph Pecor II Polo art is slim pickings, I found the pic online with no artist attribution. Props to Lexington for the art, and I'm sure the artist would love to know his work was benefiting polo. Never even saw Lexington use this, I found the pic as street art, and if they have a problem I'll take it down.

  Actually, no. The artist goes by the name Blütt, and is a street artist working in Chicago. I first saw his work at the 2008 NACCC polo tournament in Chicago, when he had some of his characters wheat-pasted onto the court boards there. I liked them so much, Schultz shared the artist's name with me and I looked him up. Then, a year or so later, I commissioned him to do a design specifically for Lexington Bike Polo. I paid him for the little polo guy he designed for us, and I printed it onto some of our shirts, and he is also on our flags and other stuff.
  
  So, while this is another one of Blütt's designs, done in his distinctive style, it's not the same as the Lexington design that he did for us. I'd advise that if you want to continue to use it, at least ask him for permission to do so. But, keep in mind that Lexington has been using one of his designs for a while now. Several of our players actually have it inked onto their bodies!

Long overdue update on the bestest most funnest sport in the daggum universe.

So, I've been pretty bad on keeping this updated but Jax hardcourt bike polo is still going strong! We've kept most of our updates on our facebook page, but the blog will be updated weekly for all your polo need to knows. Polo will be happening this Sunday, Novemeber 21st, Bikes and mallets provided, so come on out and have some fun with us!

Wednesday Night Bike Polo TONIGHT!!

3...2....1....POLO!!! Tomorrow night @ 9pm come out and enjoy some POLO on your humpday wednesday. Everyone is welcome, mallets and instruction provided. Meet up in the parking lot of Bikes,etc. 10095 Beach Blvd. Humping of J.J. or Andy is optional.

WED. NIGHT POLO and BURY YOUR BIKE

1)WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIKE POLO TOMORROW NIGHT @ BIKES ETC. Starts at 9 p.m. Bikes, mallets, and all that jazz provided. Newbies welcome, we'll have some tips and beginner games set up.

2)BURY YOUR BIKE will be May 5 - 9, and Jacksonville will be having it's very first polo tournament. Stay tuned for more info!

Sunday afternoon polo in Riverside!

Tomorrow, 4/11, is our Riverside Sunday afternoon session of bike polo. Starts at 3p @ Notify M.D. (751 Oak St.), and we'll be playing well into the night. Mallets and bikes are provided. Come and hang out, make some friends, and have some fun!

Our friends up in Savannah just put out this short documentary on bike polo. Looks pretty rad so far. I'm excited to see the finished product, perhaps they'll include the fact that Duval got 2nd in this tournament?
